I must have known it was coming because friday I started "nesting". I mowed the pasture behind the barn and asked Jeff to trim the trees out there. I also decided it was time to start nightly checks. Jeff went out around 12:30am and said everything looked normal. I went out at 5am expecting to just feed a few hours earlier and to my surprise a little black horse was up and walking around. I am disappointed that I missed it but glad everything went very smoothly. The photos of her in the stall are her about 2-3 hours old and the outside ones she is about 7-8 hours old. We named her Indi for Independence seeing she was born on the 4th of July. Four different people suggested this name to me and I figured if I did not name her this they were going to call her it anyways. Indi is black now but will turn gray eventually (not sure what shade). You can see the gray around her eyes and the flecks in her body hairs. Not sure how I ended up with a bunch of white horses since I hate trying to keep whites clean. But at least I still have my dark and handsome Tyler.
