Living in Florida is not exactly where we ever thought we would end up but here we are. We share our 12 acres with a wide variety of furred, feathered, and scaled friends. Jeffrey works as a biologist and Mala is a mom to Jada and all the critters. Although Florida is growing on us we hope someday to head back west to the mountains that we miss.
Our little girl was born February 23, 2007 and I don't remember life without her now.
Tazer
Our Husky, Tazer, is getting to be a bit of an old man at 13 years old.
Flint
Flint is Jada's favorite doggie and he is so patient with her even when she "booty bumps" him or examines his teeth.
Parker
"Pee Pee" is our 14 pound Chihuahua's nickname thanks to his nervous bladder.
Kali
Kitty Kali is Jada's favorite. Even at 14 years old she still lets Jada PAT PAT PAT her. RIP June 1, 2010
Lily
Bugsy is our beautiful but shy kitty. If you visit you will be lucky to see her and even luckier if she lets you pet her. Trick of the day...She knows how to sit on command.
Malley
Our newest kitty was found with her sister when she was about four weeks old. They were only to stay temporarily but we see how that worked out.
Lorax
Lorax is a nanday conure. He makes up for his small size with an extremely loud voice. Anyone who has ever called our house knows Lorax.
Tall Dark and Handsome aka Tye
Tyler is our 14 year old thoroughbred. He has made an incredible recovery from EPM and I think is the most gorgeous horse.
Moe
Moe is Jada's pony and he absolutely adores her and she him.
Indi
This little filly was born on 4th of July hence the name Indi, short for Independence.
The Spice Girls
Sage, Basil, Saffron, and Thyme are the goats. (Parsley is no longer with us.) They are like our big backyard "doggies".
Willow and Aspen
Our peacocks actually turned out to be peahens. They were orphans at the wildlife center I used to work at.
The Ducks
Gil, Gussy (Mallards), Petrie, and Beaker (Indian Fawn Runners) are our extremely plump ducks. They are so round they actually can't fly.

We always think our kids are at their best when they're asleep. :)
